| Today, there are 286 children with life-threatening medical conditions who are awaiting their wishes. You can help grant a child’s wish by asking at least 10 of your friends and family members to donate $20 or more to the Foundation. On average a child waits four months before their wish is granted. The reason for this wait: with the number of wish referrals continually on the rise, our fundraising efforts struggle to keep pace with the constant demand for wishes. The Walk for Wishes is a 5K family-friendly walk designed to raise critical funds for our wish-granting mission, allowing us to grant wishes as quickly as possible. The Walk is open to people of all ages and fitness levels and is a wonderful way to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation while also getting some exercise and enjoying the outdoors. Food and beverages, as well as entertainment will be provided. The top fundraising team will win a night in a private suite at Safeco field on August 25th at 7:10 p.m as the Mariners take on the Oakland A's. Twenty-two tickets are included in the suite, but food and beverage are not. The top fundraising individual will win a Nintendo DSi and a copy of Personal Trainer: Walking.

| Check-in 8:45 a.m.
Participants will have an opportunity to turn in any last minute or offline donations, as well as receive an event t-shirt.
Walk 9:30 a.m.
Walk will begin with a special opening ceremony followed by a brief warm-up and stretch. Then, it's off to Walk for Wishes!
Closing Ceremony and Lunch 11 a.m. to Noon
